A bunch of colourful characters have given the neighbourhood a truly unique history. Their extraordinary life stories make for a series of intriguing historical tales. Artists with exceptional talents, ambitious warlords and adventurous ladies – they were all searching for something: wealth or love, fame or power, but above all, eternal life.
